Menopause is natural part of every woman’s life that deserves to be understood, acknowledged, and supported. Yet far too many women still feel overlooked and underserved during this phase.
Revive Active wanted to find out more about women’s experiences with menopause and give them the chance to try out their menopause products. Over a 12 week period, 30 women took part in a trial where they received Meno Active or Meno Botanicals to trial. In this blog, we’ll look at the results of the trial and share insights from our surveys.
Emotional and Psychological Impact of Menopause
The emotional and psychological effects of menopause are often underestimated or overlooked. According to our survey:
50% of participants reported feeling a lack of motivation either "all the time" or "often" prior to taking part in the trial. Additionally, a staggering 82% of women felt that their families didn’t fully understand the impact menopause had on them. With this in mind, where do women turn for support when they feel isolated? The answer is their friends. 60% of the participants in our trial said they confide in friends when seeking support about menopause.
Breaking the Stigma Around Menopause
It’s clear that menopause needs more attention and open discussion. In fact, 95% of the participants revealed that their parents or guardians had never discussed menopause with them. This reflects the longstanding stigma surrounding menopause, but is change on the horizon? A hopeful 88% of our panel said they would talk to their own children about the topic, indicating a shift in how the next generation may approach the subject.
Access to Medical Support
When it comes to seeking medical help, many women still face a lack of comprehensive support. Of those who sought help from their doctor regarding their menopause symptoms, 95% were offered hormone replacement therapy (HRT) without any additional advice or alternative options. Only one participant was referred to a menopause clinic, highlighting the need for better education and training for healthcare professionals in menopause care. Furthermore, there should be more accessible referrals to specialists for women in need.

After taking Meno Active or Meno Botanicals for 12 weeks, nearly 75% of participants reported that menopause affected their lives less than before the trial. Participants were asked to rank from 1-10 how much menopause affected their life, before and after the trial (1 being not at all and 10 being a huge amount). The average before the trial was 6, after the trial it was 4. Furthermore, 55% of participants said they felt more motivated at the end of the trial.
By shedding light on the often-overlooked challenges of menopause, we can begin to normalize conversations and ensure that women receive the care and support they truly deserve.
